A chipped tooth or a small gap in between your teeth isn’t exactly a glaring dental problem, but either issue can impact the self-esteem of a person and cause them to smile less. If you have the same concern, do not hesitate to give us a call.
Buckhead Esthetic Dentistry offers patients who have minor cosmetic and functional issues a quick and simple solution to their worries. Through our cosmetic bonding treatment, you can kiss dental flaws and issues goodbye!
The Bonding Process
As a “Top Cosmetic Dentist in Atlanta”, Dr. Jolanda Warren first assesses the situation to see if dental bonding is the right treatment for you. If so, a bio-compatible tooth-colored composite resin will be used and applied to your tooth/teeth. The resin is then shaped to mask the part of the tooth that needs to be bonded. Once the resin is applied, a special light is used to harden the resin almost instantly.
Typically, cosmetic bonding is used to address these issues:
- Chipped teeth
- Cracked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Discolored teeth
Cosmetic Bonding vs. Porcelain Veneers
As you may have noticed, the issues addressed by cosmetic bonding can also be resolved by having porcelain veneers placed on your teeth. While the two methods do solve similar problems, they are two very different treatments. In truth, you cannot go wrong with the method you choose to go with—but there are times when one is a better solution than the other. Dr. Warren understands this perfectly and will inform you of all your options as well as the cost and long-term benefits of each one. This way, you can make an informed decision that will leave you happy.
